Day 5: Healthy Mind Challenge- Laughter

Last week, I called a farm that advertises they sell free range eggs. I asked what kind of diet the chickens are on, to which I got the response, “Diet? You don’t put chickens on no diet. They just eat chicken feed.” It took all I had not to laugh over the phone, but my mom who was visiting and I had a pretty good laugh about it afterwards.

Laughter is good for your health in many ways. It can alleviate pain, lower blood pressure and boost your immune system. It can also provide a mini work-out and help with your weight loss goals. Today, your challenge is to laugh as often as you can. Pop in your favorite comedy or go check out a funny book at the library. Find a comedy club and go support some local comedians. Whatever you do, just laugh and spread the laughter around.
