A few weeks ago when my friend, Amy and I announced that we had started our own tea company, I was approached with an offer that I couldn’t turn down. Elyn Jacobs, a cancer coach, reached out to Nana|Rosie|Teas and asked us to present a tip of the day on her internet radio show, Survive and Live Well. While I was extremely excited at the offer, I was also just as nervous. Yes, it was only a few sentences that I would be saying, but there’s not much room for error when you are live on the radio.
Fortunately, when I presented the Tip of the Day on Survive and Live Well today, I did alright. It was nerve-wracking, but I managed to make it through and felt stronger. I didn’t stumble all over my words, which was my biggest fear, or become paralyzed, rather it made me feel somewhat empowered. I’m ready to take on the world of radio again! Well, almost. If you have a chance to face one of your fear head on, I highly recommend it. It’s probably not going to be as frightening as you thought it would be, and there is nothing quite like the rush of knowing that you conquered something you thought you couldn’t do.
If you have, or know someone who has cancer, I highly recommend you check out Elyn’s show. She is an advocate for health and helps get people through the hard time between diagnosis and healing. She and her show are truly inspirational and encouraging to everyone. As she says, cancer is not a death sentence, and I wholeheartedly agree with that. You can catch Elyn’s show every Tuesday @ 1:00pm EST.
Blessings and Love,
