Working out + Accountability = Results!

Yesterday a friend posted a brief workout video on Facebook and asked everyone to do it with her today. She wanted to inspire others to join her and to also hold herself accountable for doing it. So, without watching the video first, I committed. I wanted to be held accountable for getting my exercise on, because honestly, I have been pretty lax lately. I have to admit, after I saw the title of the video, I got a little scared!

See what I mean?! Victoria’s Secret? You’ve got to be kidding me! I was expecting it to be supermodels in their supersexy lingerie doing a full intense workout full of dance moves a la Shakira style. I was thinking, What did I get myself into? BUT I had already committed, so I HAD to do it.

So this morning, I got the kids off to school and the wee one distracted and decided to go ahead and get the workout over with. I didn’t want to go through the day with it over my head and then forget to do it later. It actually turned out to be a brief (10 minute) video of VERY simple exercises designed to get maximum results. It is great for beginners and those who have been working out for a long time, because you can modify each one to make it fit your comfort level. My one year old actually tried to do the workout with me!

So if you’re looking for an easy workout, or maybe one that doesn’t require a lot of time, you should definitely try this one. I always like to sit and watch an exercise video once before I do it to try to get the posture and positions figured out in my head first, but I just jumped right in on this one.

    Ok I just did this one :) Definitely got me going for the day! I am super uncoordinated, so this wasn’t horrible until the Dead lift one. I couldn’t personally focus on getting all of my body to go with it, so I just made the best of it. For me, more is better, and I plan to so this one until I get the hang of it.
